After work

Nothing better than sitting in my purple shed with some crochet after a hard day at work.

Photo taken with my iPod and Vintage Camera app – yes, I have discovered the wonderful world of apps and am wasting enjoying spending lots of time taking pics and giving them the vintage look 🙂

Hi Marie, I found your old blog as I was trying to find a pattern for a baby blanket and instantly fell in love with your Baby Blue and Green Blanket from Feb 2012 (thank you for sharing that!!). I am an expecting mother and decided to make a similar blanket for my baby. I love the way your blanket doesn’t show the joins in between the squares. How do you do that? I’ve been trying to find a solution online and can’t figure it out. I would really appreciate your guidance on this.

Thanks for your lovely comment about the green and blue blanket. I’ve been looking at the pictures trying to remember how i joined the squares together; given that the seams are not too visible, I think I slip-stitched them together. The textured pattern on the squares helps to disguise the join also. The pattern is this one from Lion Brand’s website I can’t remember if I added a link in my original post, so there it is. Hope that helps and that you make a lovely blanket for your new baby!!

You did have the link to the pattern in the original post and it was super helpful especially since I’m a beginner. Thank you for the info on the seam. I’ll give it a shot and will share pics of the blanket when it’s done (will probably be a while..). Thanks again!

No problem, good luck with the blanket; I’ll look forward to seeing it!

I finally finished my blanket. I still don’t know if it’s a boy or girl, so I decided to use a lot of colors. Here’s the image. Thanks again!
